Reboots, Sequels, Prequels(?) and aborted (Tron III?).
Smokey and the Bandit is off limits. Somehow. God bless Burt Reynolds. And we learned a lesson with Blues Brothers 2000.
This flick has escaped common knowlege somehow. A remake with the right people could be fun as long as the plot isn’t altered.
Look at that machine! That sucker made a huge impression on me as a 6 year old. Star What? Seriously. My parents thought something was wrong with me (they were right). I liked two fictional Trucker Movies over a big fictional Space Opera?
Yeah.
For the LALD folks. There was an ERTL (who else lol) Rubber Duckie Mack Tanker too. Pricey buggers though. This one is up for $175.

That poster might as well said “Starring two really pretty people and two really not pretty people!” That’s a lot of acting and directing talent for a movie about trucks and CB radios and inspired by a novelty song.

True.. But it was the 70s. We didn’t have much. Still better than Star Wars.
(Kristofferson wishes he actually looked like that poster.)

That poster is horrible! At first I thought you were suggesting “Brokeback Truckers” Then I realized it wasn’t a young boy.
Someone should definitely make a movie about ISIS hacking vehicles, and using them as weapons. It couldn’t do any worse than flying sharks.

Remake of Maximum Overdrive needed. Could be timely, relevant, and dark as fuck. Couldn’t be worse than the original.

Kristofferson was considered a major hunk back then! I think as a 12 year old I preferred Star Wars to Peckinpah movies. My natural nerdiness makes the same true today.

There’s a special place in Hell for Sharknado participants.
Yeah, Ali MacGraw didn’t translate well to print. It’s almost as bad as Over The Top!

I’d approve of a remake as long as Yeardly Smith and Emilio
Sheen
Esteves are involved. It woulodn’t be the same without KURTISSSS!

My parents tried making me a Nerd. The Call of the Wrench overwhelmed them. They both led happy lives working with COBAL at Harvester until the early 1990s.
Me? I continue to disappoint.

I don’t know. They tried to remake Rollerball. I think some older movies should be left as they were. (Also some actors/actresses need a lockout on attempted reprised roles)
